Maintenance Technician at Sonance – Minden, Nevada

Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Purpose of the Position: To ensure the optimal functioning of all facility systems, including CNC machines, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance, supporting a safe and productive speaker manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment & CNC Maintenance

• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on CNC machines and other production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain logs for preventative maintenance and service reports.

Electrical Work

• Perform basic electrical repairs and installations, including lighting, wiring, outlets, and control panels.
• Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety codes. Plumbing & Building Maintenance
• Maintain and repair sinks, toilets, water lines, and drain systems.
• Perform routine inspections and upkeep of facility infrastructure (floors, doors, walls, ceilings, etc.).

HVAC & AC Systems

• Monitor and service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to maintain optimal climate control.
• Coordinate with external contractors when advanced repairs are needed.

General Facility Support

• Set up or modify work areas and production zones as needed.
• Assist with safety inspections and address potential hazards.
• Respond to urgent repair needs in a timely and effective manner.

Experience:

• 5+ years in industrial/facility maintenance (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Knowledge of CNC machinery and controls is a strong plus.
• Familiar with basic carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC.

Skills:

• Able to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Self-motivated and responsive under pressure.

Certifications (Preferred):

• OSHA 10/30, HVAC certification, or Electrical Technician Certificate.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, or hot/cold environments.
