Lead Operating Engineer / Industrial Maintenance at Prudential Overall Supply – Milpitas, California

Prudential Overall Supply, a leader in uniform and textile rental services for over 90 years, is seeking a hands-on maintenance leader This is a Maintenance Supervisor-level role responsible for leading day-to-day maintenance operations in a fast-paced industrial production environment. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall plant performance.

• Lead, support, and develop a team of maintenance technicians in a production environment
• Oversee and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, including washers, dryers, conveyors, boilers, and automated systems
• Prioritize and manage multiple maintenance requests to ensure timely response and minimal downtime
• Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and external vendors/contractors
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance system (CMMS)
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational regulations
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency
• Occasionally support off-shift or weekend projects, as needed

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing, laundry, food processing, or similar environment)
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Experience working with PLC-driven or automated equipment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
• Experience with CMMS systems, vendor coordination, and maintenance planning preferred
• Proficient in the use of power tools, forklifts, manlifts, and hand tools
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Applicable military experience is strongly considered
