About the Role:

The Orientation and Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, executing, and continuously improving the practitioner orientation, onboarding, and offboarding processes across the Medical Staff Division. Working closely with the Training and Education Manager, Directors, Managing Partners, and cross-functional stakeholders, this role serves as the primary point of contact for new practitioners and ensures a structured, timely, and high-quality orientation experience from first contact through completion of orientation and transition into clinical practice.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Practitioner Orientation and Onboarding Coordination

· Manage and coordinate orientation schedules for all new practitioners to ensure timely start dates and readiness for clinical shifts.

· Attend and facilitate practitioner orientation sessions, introducing new practitioners to organizational workflows and expectations.

· Serve as the primary and consistent point of contact for new practitioners throughout the orientation process.

· Communicate orientation timelines, requirements, and expectations to practitioners and internal stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Collaborate with IT, Quality, Finance, Operations, Credentialing and Licensing, Capacity Planning, and Clinical Informatics teams to ensure orientation requirements are completed timely.

· Participate in meetings related to practitioner onboarding workflows and provide progress updates as needed.

Mentoring and Shadowing

· Coordinate practitioner mentoring and shadowing sessions as part of orientation and ongoing professional development

· Support alignment between practitioners and assigned mentors or shadowing opportunities.

Orientation Materials and Content Management

· Update, maintain, and organize orientation materials, documentation, and resources.

· Support updates to orientation workflows and reference materials as processes evolve.

Data Tracking, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

· Maintain accurate orientation data, dashboards, and reports tracking practitioner progress and completion.

· Create, distribute, and analyze orientation surveys and feedback tools as needed.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and support performance improvement initiatives.

Program and Service Line Orientation Support

· Coordinate orientation planning for new service lines, practitioner roles, and work agreements.

· Collaborate with Medical Staff Division leadership and Operations to support practitioner readiness for new programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Strong organizational and project coordination skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines simultaneously

· High attention to detail and accuracy

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools

· Experience with Salesforce preferred

Supervision

· The coordinator of the Medical Staff Division reports to the Orientation and Education Lead

Qualifications

· Minimum two years related experience.

· Associate degree or higher preferred

Physical Requirements

· Sitting at a desk and working on a computer >75% of the time

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
