Location: Louisville, KY
Facility: Buffalo Construction Support Center (36,000 sq. ft. Office + Warehouse)
Who We Are:
Buffalo Construction is a commercial construction partner with one overriding promise: to make the customer happy.
We take pride in building a culture-first organization where teammates are empowered to grow, collaborate, and take ownership of their work. Every member of the Herd is expected to live out our four core values:
- Celebration
- Commitment
- Compassion
- Continuous Improvement
Our Support Center in Louisville serves as the hub for teammates working on projects across the country. Keeping this space safe, functional, organized, and welcoming is essential to supporting the success of our team.
About the Role:
Buffalo Construction is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and looking their best.
This is not a sit-behind-a-desk facilities role. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and taking ownership of a space — whether that means coordinating trade partners, troubleshooting building issues, touching up paint, repairing drywall, maintaining the grounds, or helping keep the warehouse organized and operating efficiently.
If you enjoy variety in your day and like seeing the immediate results of your work, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do:
Maintain & Improve Our Facility
- Perform and oversee the day-to-day upkeep of our office and warehouse.
- Complete hands-on maintenance including paint touch-ups, drywall repair, minor carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Diagnose facility issues and coordinate repairs when specialized trades are required.
- Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to proactively identify maintenance or safety needs.
Coordinate Vendors & Repairs
- Serve as the primary contact for service providers including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance, and landscaping partners.
- Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure all vendor work meets Buffalo’s safety and quality expectations.
Property & Grounds Care
- Preform lawn care, landscaping, and seasonal exterior maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance for the property both inside and outside.
Warehouse & Operational Support
- Help maintain organization and functionality within warehouse spaces.
- Assist with deliveries and facility logistics when needed.
- Support workspace adjustments and facility improvements as our team grows.
Safety & Facility Readiness
- Identify and address facility-related safety concerns.
- Support inspections and ensure building systems remain operational.
- Help create an environment where teammates and visitors feel safe and supported.
What Success Looks Like:
- Our facility is clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
- Maintenance issues are identified and solved proactively.
- Vendors are coordinated effectively and repairs happen smoothly.
- Teammates have a workspace that supports productivity and collaboration.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in facilities maintenance, construction, property management, or building operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable performing hands-on maintenance work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to facility needs.
- Strong ownership mindset and pride in your work.
- Experience coordinating vendors or trade partners is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent walking between office, warehouse, and exterior areas.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable using ladders, tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts and forklifts as needed.
What We Offer:
- Hourly Pay: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance
- Stable Schedule with the opportunity to take ownership of a well-maintained facility
- Opportunity to work in a team-oriented, culture-driven environment
