About This Position
Tax Manager - Richmond, VA
Who: An experienced tax professional with strong managerial skills and expertise in pass-through entity and partnership taxation.
What: Manage complex tax engagements, oversee compliance workflows, review returns, and mentor Tax Staff and Seniors.
When: Hiring immediately to support the expanding Richmond, VA market.
Where: Richmond, Virginia on a hybrid schedule (2–3 days per week in office).

Position Overview:
The Tax Manager will serve as the main point of contact for clients, lead tax engagements, anticipate tax and business issues, and identify planning opportunities while developing junior team members across a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
● Solve tax and business challenges for clients in manufacturing, real estate, professional services, and high-net-worth sectors.
● Manage engagements and review complex returns, including tax provision work.
● Lead and mentor Tax Staff and Seniors in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
● Utilize strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
● Deliver superior client service and maintain trusted client relationships.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s preferred.
● Active CPA license required.
● 5+ years of public accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
● Strong understanding of pass-through entity structures and general corporate taxation.
● Working knowledge of partnership taxation, particularly equity investment structures.
