Location: Hybrid, Columbia, MD (2 days per week in office)
Vectorworks is a global software company that creates design software for architecture, entertainment, and landscape design industries. What’s the role?The HR People Services Manager will support the delivery of consistent, scalable, and employee-focused HR services across the Americas region. This role partners closely with other members of the People Services USA team of Nemetchek SE and business leaders to ensure smooth execution of core HR processes and compliance requirements.
This role will be a part of a regional team that delivers core HR services to include, federal contract compliance, regional immigration compliance, lifecycle employee events, HR compliance, data management, and HR systems support.

CompensationThe base pay range for this role is $84,900 – $103,050 per year.

What will I do?
- Monitor and interpret changes in federal, state, and local employment regulations, ensuring timely updates to policies and practices for Canada, US, Brazil and South Africa.
- Lead compliance initiatives and internal audits to maintain legal adherence and organizational standards.
- Identify compliance risks and gaps; develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk exposure and maintain audit readiness across all jurisdictions.
- Oversee regional immigration compliance processes, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Review and update compliance training programs; deliver training and guidance to managers to promote best practices.
- Partner with HR systems and analytics teams to track compliance metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Manage annual compliance reporting requirements (AAP, EEO-1) and advise on affirmative action program adjustments based on reporting outcomes.
- Collaborate on initiatives that promote fairness, inclusion, and accountability within compliance frameworks and organizational policies.
What We're Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience in compliance or HR administration.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- Expertise in federal and state compliance reporting and notice requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, local, and international labor and employment regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations, with ability to expand and maintain knowledge of Canadian requirements and their practical application.
- Proven experience in compliance auditing, risk assessments, and vendor management.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for cross-functional partnership.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and a continuous improvement mindset.
