Full-Time Perioperative Staff RN – Outpatient Interventional Radiology Procedure Center

Location: Smyrna, GA

Schedule: Full Time | 40 hours per week (M-F, No holidays, No Weekends)

Compensation: negotiable based on experience

Job Description

We are Atlanta Fibroid Center, a world-renowned Interventional Radiology medical practice that specializes in the nonsurgical treatment of Uterine Fibroids.

We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our team. The position will provide key clinical patient care in conjunction with X-ray technologists, medical assistants and patient services staff, working collectively to create the best and most complete patient experience. Responsibilities:

  • Provide collaborative patient care under the direction of Physicians and Nursing Team Lead
  • Collect and interpret patient data through patient communication and physical assessment, while providing appropriate intervention
  • Conduct ongoing nursing assessment as dictated by the patient’s condition and in accordance with AFC protocols
  • Provide clear interdisciplinary communication of patient condition to appropriate team members
  • Follow facility policies and procedures in a manner that protects continuity of care and patient safety
  • Perform appropriate treatments and therapies as ordered by physician in an appropriate and timely fashion
  • Provide individualized patient and family teaching
  • Document patient assessments, findings, and psychosocial responses to nursing interventions
  • Execute effective initiation of emergent patient care in alignment with regulated resuscitation protocols
  • Maintain confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility, and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Provide patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness to that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved
  • Provide perioperative patient communication and assistance with administrative tasks, as needed, to ensure appropriate patient experience
  • Maintain competency by participating in continuing education programs and meeting state-specific requirements
  • Comply with accepted ethical conduct and professional Standards of Nursing Practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association or equivalent national organization
  • Delegate effectively and appropriately

Requirements:

  • Current unencumbered Georgia Registered Nurse/RN License (meeting requirements of education from an accredited program/school of nursing)
  • Minimum one year of critical or acute care experience within the last year (ICU, CCU, ER, Cath lab, IR).
  • Maintains RN certification and licensure as required by the State of Georgia
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association/AHA
  • Graduated from an accredited BSN program/ school
  • Ability to perform standard nursing skills, including IV placement and injection administration
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • EMR experience and/or willingness to learn
  • Accurate data entry skills and understanding of patient quality programs
