Job Summary:

The Poolside Supervisor position is an excellent opportunity for starting professionals to gain management experience.

This position is responsible to drive business forward through team development, coordinating, and supervising operations of Food and Beverage service to provide the highest standards to members and guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stablishing cleaning schedule and general upkeep of Café equipment (daily, weekly, and monthly)
  • CREATES WOW by: anticipating needs and wants, being prepared, being continuously enthusiastic, executing flawlessly and doing it now.
  • Supervises all snack bar staff in the food and beverage department.
  • Maximize the food and beverage efficiencies profits of the facility.
  • Capitalize on the overall high service standards of the Club as established by system operations and management.
  • Develop and maintain Training Program(s) for snack bar staff.
  • Trains and provides feedback for employees using the Training Program(s) mentioned in the preceding statement.
  • Working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, provide appropriate leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to staff in accordance with Club culture to promote positive employee morale and performance quality.
  • Orchestrate an impeccable food and beverage atmosphere that will insure the highest level of quality service for members and guests
  • With input from Food & Beverage Manager and working closely with Human Resources, evaluate hiring needs and discipline actions.
  • Conducts daily line up meetings
  • Insures closing and opening procedures are being followed.
  • Other projects as assigned
  • Ensure operation consistency coordinating and communicating with kitchen and servers
  • Check on materials needs and coordinate with the department head the on-time replacement
  • Records and report accidents and injuries
  • Report maintenance orders
  • Oversee events operations run under the pool and related to the department
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards

Working Conditions

  • Poolside Restaurant Setting
  • Frequently exposed to hot and humid weather conditions

Interaction

  • Frequent interaction with members, guests and children

Compensation

  • $16-$17 per hour plus tips

Schedule

  • Seasonal/temporary, must be available Tuesday – Sunday. Available nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Primarily day shift, 6 days, 40 hours per week. Schedule may occasionally change due to business needs.
Requirements:

Requirements

  • Must have and maintain active TABC and Food Handler certification throughout employment, provide proof of certifications and updates to supervisor and Human Resources for compliance and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Well-organized with ability effectively manager service
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
  • Must possess honesty and integrity
  • Must be courteous and tactful at all times
  • Must treat others with kindness and respect
  • Ability to appear for work on time
  • Ability to interact well with co workers
  • Ability to understand and follow posted rules and procedures
  • Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
  • Ability to effectively communicate to members, guests and staff
  • Ability to be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Experience

  • Minimum 2 year experience experience is a fast paced dining environment in a server or leadership role.
  • Strong food and beverage guest service experience

  • Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Independent mobility through clubhouse.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking in hot Houston summer weather
  • Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
