The Opportunity:

As a Social Media Strategist at OBI, you will lead the strategy, planning and execution of social media programs for agency clients. This role blends strategic thinking, creativity and day-to-day platform management to build brand awareness, strengthen audience engagement and support broader marketing campaigns.

You’ll help clients show up meaningfully on social platforms by turning insights and trends into content that resonates with their audiences and contributes to real business results, ensuring social programs support broader marketing goals such as brand awareness, lead generation and customer engagement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Social Media Strategy & Content Development:? Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with client goals, brand voice and audience insights. Create engaging, platform-appropriate content that supports broader campaign initiatives.
  • Campaign Integration:?Ensure social media initiatives support broader marketing campaigns by aligning content, timing and messaging with integrated marketing efforts across paid media, PR, email and web.
  • Engagement & Community Management:?Manage day-to-day interaction on social channels by responding to comments, messages and mentions while fostering positive engagement with audiences.
  • Trend & Platform Awareness:?Stay informed on platform updates, emerging formats and evolving social media behaviors, bringing forward ideas that help clients stay relevant and competitive.
  • Analytics & Performance Optimization:?Monitor social media performance using analytics tools and platform insights. Use data to refine content strategies, identify opportunities and improve results over time.
  • Content Planning & Scheduling:?Build and manage social media calendars across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and others, ensuring content is timely, consistent and aligned with broader campaign priorities.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration:?Partner with designers, copywriters, strategists and client services teams to ensure social media content aligns with overall marketing strategies and brand messaging.
  • Paid Social Collaboration:?Work with the media team to support paid social campaigns, helping align creative direction and audience targeting with campaign objectives.
  • Social Listening & Industry Monitoring:?Track relevant conversations, industry topics and competitor activity to identify opportunities for engagement and content development.

Requirements:
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience managing social media programs in an agency environment, supporting multiple clients and brands simultaneously.
  • Agency Experience: Experience working in an agency environment managing social media programs for multiple clients or brands, balancing competing priorities and collaborating with account and creative teams.
  • Social Media Expertise: You have a strong understanding of major social media platforms and how audiences engage with content across each.
  • Creative Thinking: You can translate ideas and brand messaging into engaging, platform-appropriate content.
  • Analytics Awareness: You are comfortable using analytics tools and platform insights to evaluate performance and inform content decisions.
  • Community Engagement Skills: You know how to interact with audiences in a thoughtful, brand-appropriate way that strengthens relationships and engagement.
  • Attention to Detail: You maintain high standards for visual quality, copy accuracy and posting consistency.
  • Project Management: You are organized and capable of managing multiple client content calendars, campaign timelines and brand voices, ensuring deadlines are met and content is delivered on schedule.
  • Client Communication: Comfortable presenting ideas, discussing performance insights and collaborating with clients to refine social media strategies.
  • Social Media Platform & Tool Experience: Experience using social media management and analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, HeyOrca, Sprinklr or similar platforms to plan, publish and analyze social content.
  • Basic Graphic and Video Editing: Experience creating engaging content for social media with creative and templated tools like Canva and Capcut in partnership with our creative team.
