Senior ERP Developer (Business Central) at LayerZero Power Systems Inc – A, Ohio

LayerZero is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central developer to serve as the Business Central technical authority for the organization. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing integrations, customizations, and automations for the ERP platform in support of manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and quality processes.

The Senior ERP Developer will work in close partnership with an experienced Business Central analyst and IT leadership to ensure that the ERP system delivers reliable, scalable, efficient, and effective solutions that align with company goals. The Developer will participate in all stages of the ERP life cycle: initial implementation and go-live, production operations, and continuous improvement.

• Technical Leadership
  • Serve as the technical lead for system upgrades, customizations, and integrations
  • Define and maintain ERP technical standards, extensibility approaches, and data structures
  • Partner with IT leadership to build and maintain the Enterprise Systems Roadmap
• Development Expertise
  • Design, code, and test custom Business Central extensions using AL
  • Develop and enhance integrations between Business Central and external systems using REST APIs, middleware, or iPaaS
  • Design, implement, and maintain automations within Business Central and connected systems
• System Maintenance
  • Drive long-term optimization through continuous improvement, monitoring, and enhancements
  • Proactively identify and address system performance issues via systems telemetry
  • Troubleshoot customization, module, and integration failures across system boundaries
• Training and Adoption
  • Create and maintain technical and user-facing documentation for custom enhancements and integrations
  • Conduct Key User training and train-the-trainer sessions for system upgrades, customizations, and integrations
• Operational Support
  • Support ERP go-live activities, including update planning, data migration, testing, and validation
  • Provide tier 2+ support for Business Central issues

• Required
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central AL programming
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Business Central in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with system integration design (REST APIs, OData, middleware, iPaaS)
  • Experience supporting ERP go-live activities and system upgrades
• Preferred
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • General programming experience (.NET, Python, web development)
  • General database experience (SQL, query optimization, bulk operations)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Technical certifications, especially MB-820 (Business Central Developer).
