Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the senior market-shaping leader for National Guard and Homeland Defense, leveraging an established network to influence capability requirements and program priorities.

  • Drive early visibility for emerging Programs of Record and OTA opportunities, ensuring technical alignment with long-term modernization roadmaps.

  • Coordinate pursuit strategies across Business Development, Account Sales, and OEM/Prime teams, aligning internal stakeholders on messaging and strategic objectives.

  • Provide continuous market intelligence on tactical communications, network modernization, and spectrum/EW trends, identifying emerging opportunities for revenue growth.

  • Represent the organization at senior National Guard, DoD, and industry forums, promoting thought leadership and building institutional advocacy.

  • Develop and execute the National Guard Market Development Plan, defining objectives, key relationships, and pursuit milestones.

  • Travel as needed (up to 50%) to maintain strong customer engagement and relationship management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense sector.

  • Extensive prior U.S. Army service (e.g., former General Officer) or senior civilian/defense industry executive experience (GS-15/SES equivalent).

  • Established network of senior-level National Guard contacts (TAG, NGB, program offices).

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. Army tactical networks, modernization programs, and procurement processes.

  • Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong strategic planning and ability to operate autonomously as a trusted advisor.

  • Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $200,000—$280,000 USD, commensurate with experience.

  • Fully remote work options depending on location, with flexibility for proximity to key commands.

  • Opportunity to influence national defense programs and contribute to mission-critical communications.

  • Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement, and paid time off.

  • Participation in a dynamic, mission-focused organization with exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiatives.

  • Travel opportunities to engage with National Guard and defense stakeholders.
