Material Handler

Position Summary

The Material Handler position is responsible for effective and accurate receiving, storing, and managing of materials, tools, equipment, and products.

Essential Functions

Loads and unloads material within a warehouse, storage facility, or stocking location
Utilizes pallet jacks, forklifts (gas/electric), cranes, or other equipment to move materials
Has been tested, and maintains certification for operating sit-down lift trucks
Compliant with all related Safety Policies and procedures
Has knowledge of standard practices and procedures within department
Accurate in XA and Paperless, with the ability to Pick, and RM finished goods.
Marks and labels materials and finished goods with identifying information, and any label associated with a finished good.
Perform accurate inventory transactions by counting and picking parts by location.

Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform a variety of tasks under limited supervision
Ability to work independently with accuracy and following established procedures
Ability to utilize technology and apps to understand job requirements

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds-safely
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds-occasionally and with assistance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to follow all safety requirements.
Ability to work in small areas in order to perform the work.
Ability to work with both arms extended for an extended period of time.
Ability to climb step ladders, work platforms frequently.

Work Environment

Normal shop environment that includes some exposure to noise, fumes and dust.
