About This Position

Description:

The Logistics Clerk role assists with support, supplies and equipment purchasing and controls, and general administrative support. This position will be responsible for documenting receipts of supply shipments received, maintaining information in the databases we use (OpIQ, 9th Brain, etc.), monitoring supply levels and proactively seeking resources to maintain adequate supply levels, communicating with internal customers about their logistics-related needs, and consistently seeking ways to improve the systems and processes to support our Clinical operations.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Assist departments with routine errands and basic operational requests as needed.
  2. Support daily morning checks, including cabinet audits and tracking of spare equipment.
  3. Assist with backstock activities such as cycle counts, supply organization, ordering support, and medical mission drop-offs.
  4. Help coordinate proper disposal of medications and used supplies in accordance with Alaska Medical Waste procedures.
  5. Provide support for preventive maintenance (PM) activities, including transporting equipment to BioMed as directed.
  6. Assist with fulfilling base supply requests and helping compile related supply reports.
  7. Support upkeep of OPIQ records by assisting with load list updates and supply adjustments.
  8. Monitor backorder notifications and assist with tracking PM status, escalating issues as needed.
  9. Provide general support for facility and fleet needs, including vehicle movement, pickups, drop-offs, and other tasks as directed by the Facilities/Fleet Manager.
Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Licensure: Current, valid Driver’s License required. Obtain a pharmacy tech license within one year of appointment to this position and maintain current licensure.

Experience: Minimum three years clerical/logistics experience. Medical background preferred.

Other Required Competencies and Abilities: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, familiarity with web-based databases. Excellent organization and communication skills. The ability to work productively with minimal supervision. Familiarity with medical supplies and equipment highly desired.
