About This Position
We’re looking for a Help Desk Technician to join our IT team. You’ll help staff with basic technical issues and make sure our everyday technology runs smoothly. A key focus of this role will be assisting with an organization-wide PC refresh project. This is an entry level position. Experience isn't required, but a willingness to learn something new is.
What You'll Do:
Answer help desk calls, emails, and tickets to assist with IT issues.
Help set up and troubleshoot computers, printers, and other office equipment.
Assist with deploying and setting up new PCs as part of a company-wide refresh.
Reset passwords and assist with account access.
Install software updates and assist with basic system maintenance.
Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff.
Follow security procedures to protect member and company data.
Other duties as assigned.
Performs all functions in the safest manner possible and according to credit union procedure, assuring the safety of other employees and members. Works toward resolution of safety issues, injuries or potential problems or reports such to the most appropriate source for resolution. Encourages and support other staff to perform tasks safely and reports such to the appropriate supervisor for further action as needed.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent, required. Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field, preferred.
Prior Help Desk or Information Technology support experience. Preferred.
Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills and flexibility, including the ability to effectively analyze employee technology needs and assist them or obtain appropriate assistance for them.
Basic knowledge of Windows operating system, required.
Able to learn and work as part of a team.
In addition to our generous benefit package the base pay for the Help Desk Technician will be determined based upon your skills and qualifications starting at $20.00/hr.

We have found that as the IT Specialist, to be successful you will need to have a high school diploma or its equivalent, related secondary education in Information Technology or similar is preferred as is related secondary or on the job experience in computer hardware systems, and software systems.
