About This Position
Description:
The Seasonal Front Desk Associate is responsible for registration and in-depth program inquiries. The position entails greeting members and guests, answering phone calls and emails, and assisting with programming questions, program registration, and any registration changes.
Front Desk Associates are managed by the Head of Customer Service and work closely with upper management. This position requires maintaining a solid level of knowledge of the programs throughout the company.
General Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm, personalized welcome
- Respond to online, in-person, and phone inquiries
- Assist clients and guests with drop-in entrance fees, membership registration and cancellations
- Offer proactive customer service to the community, with a focus on increasing membership and participation in programs
- Upsell services
- Inform and update marketing on urgent or emergency website notifications or modifications for all programs
- Assist and advise current employees on the services offered
- Assist with invoice processing, collections and program registration
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:- Must be friendly, warm, welcoming, and helpful
- Experience in customer-facing roles is highly desirable
- Demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and great customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and be detail-oriented, flexible, and decisive
- Must be able to coordinate several activities at once and quickly analyze and resolve specific problems
- Must have a willingness to pitch in where needed
- Experience in an aquatic or recreational facility, swim instructor, coaching or lifeguarding experience is desirable
