Description:

Sunshine Disposal & Recycling has an opening for a Shop Clerk in our Airway Heights, WA facility. This is a full time, Monday through Friday position. Work schedule is 7:30am-4:00pm. Hourly wage is $23.00 per hour; with annual COLA beginning in 2027.

The primary duties for this position include ordering truck parts/supplies, assigning expenses for fleet assets, reconciling invoices to orders, coordinating with vendors, answering incoming calls, maintaining an organized inventory and inputting repair orders into shop software. This position is also responsible for monitoring and assisting with planning of fleet service schedules across multiple facilities using maintenance software. Day travel may be included when assisting other locations.

Other duties include assisting in transportation of drivers to or from outside repair facilities.

The position requires strong and proficient data entry skills. Previous experience with word processing and spreadsheets is required. OJT for company specific software will be provided.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below.

1. Orders parts and supplies as needed for fleet maintenance and repairs. Reconciles orders to invoices from vendors. Assigns expenses to fleet assets and enters into computer. Prepares vendor invoices for Management approval and submittal for payment.

2. Answers phone calls as needed with vendors, customers, drivers, or mechanics.

3. Enters repair orders, truck mileage/hours, inventory, and month end data into fleet maintenance computer program. All work must be completed for Month End reporting.

4. Maintains organized and properly catalogued inventory of parts and supplies. Obtains pricing from multiple vendors to ensure cost effectiveness.

5. Monitors tire maintenance software. Obtains reports, reconciles orders/invoices and records information to fleet asset files.

6. Assists in Scheduling recurring maintenance for multiple facilities and monitors completion of scheduled work.

7. Maintain accurate fleet asset maintenance files, including all DOT required documents.

8. Assist in transportation of drivers to drop off or collect vehicles from outside repair facilities. Drive company pick-up trucks to pick up urgently needed parts or supplies.

9. Work with shop personnel to obtain warranty recovery rebates when possible.

10. Assist with basic facility or equipment inspections (i.e. fire extinguishers).

11. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED required

· AA or BA in a business or computer field preferred

· Strong skills set in Microsoft office programs required (Word, Excel). Training will be provided for company specific software.

· 3 years previous experience in data entry, inventory management, expense coding or other related work

· Experience in a repair shop environment greatly preferred.

· Must have a valid Driver’s License and be insurable by the company.

Physical Requirements:

· Constantly (6+ hours per day) sit, stand, walk, stoop, grasp, fine manipulation, wrist flexion, reach, bend, twist.

· Frequently (3-5 hours per day) lift (up to 50 pounds), pull/push (up to 50 pounds), kneel.

· Occasionally (1-3 hours per day) climb, squat, crouch, carry and reach above shoulder level.

· Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors (no color blindness)
