Overview

As an Inscription Pipefitter, your job duties include fabricating and installing valve handles, stave damping, label plates on piping systems that will carry the ships liquids and gasses at various pressures. Systems include hydraulic, lube oil, high and low pressure air and high and low pressure steam, sea water, chilled water and potable water. Groom systems to prepare for Company, Navy and Government Inspections.

Must be able to able to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, blueprints and diagrams



Qualifications

Required:

  • High School/GED OR 2+ years of relevant technical experience
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience to this job description

Preferred:

  • Additional preference given for Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs
  • Military Shipbuilding, Manufacturing, or shipyard experience
