This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow strategic client relationships across higher education, K-12, and enterprise accounts. The Account Manager will lead the full renewal lifecycle, identify expansion opportunities, and ensure customers derive maximum value from the platform. You will work closely with internal teams, translate complex technical needs into simple solutions, and proactively drive customer satisfaction and retention. The position combines strategic account planning, sales execution, and customer engagement, providing a dynamic environment to make a measurable impact. Manage the software renewal process for assigned accounts, ensuring timely contract completion and customer satisfaction.
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional licenses, modules, or services to existing clients.
Develop account plans, monitor usage and health metrics, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to communicate value and benefits to clients.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, support, and implementation teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or related client-facing roles, preferably in SaaS.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas through authentic relationship building.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex solutions.
Proficiency with CRM tools and sales productivity platforms for account tracking and reporting.
Self-motivated, outcome-oriented, and able to manage a territory independently.
Comfortable with up to 25% travel to meet clients and attend industry events.
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred; commitment to lifelong learning is essential.
