Associate Operations Analyst; Operations Analyst; Sr. Operations Analyst -

This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the posted levels, depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise.

The senior operations analyst supports gas regulatory compliance activities with a focus on gas transmission and distribution facilities. The senior operations analyst will gather and evaluate technical, operational and field data to identify anomalies or trends in data and provide recommendations to resolve problems. The senior operations analyst is responsible for functional application maintenance, analyzing and resolving application/system issues and recommending and implementing corrective and enhancement modifications to accommodate customer and business requirements.

Responsibilities:
Performs day-to-day architectural design and support of a specific application or family of related applications working closely with technical analysts. Communicates proposed changes/solutions with user group management to determine the extent to which corrections or enhancements can be implemented and their effect on current process and procedure. (20%) Analyzes application issues providing recommended solutions/system changes with detailed written documentation. Accountable for product test and final sign-off of system changes. Creates, revises and executes test plans of low to moderate complexity and identifies impacts. (20%) Provides daily application support including, but not limited to, accuracy of system data, parameter table maintenance, parameter table design,

implementation of new parameters/tables, daily production processes, daily production controls, security table access, system workflow and communication regarding application/system problems and changes to all end users. (20%) Performs application data queries to troubleshoot system problems or provide user requested reports. (20%) Provides input for application release planning. (5%) Audits promptness and efficiency of application-related activities and recommends process improvements. (5%) Provides technical input to assist in development of project planning. (5%) Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (5%)

Accurately review, interpret and apply codes to company procedures, standards and plans. Demonstration of advanced understanding of the company's operations and business processes. Participation on teams that results in contribution to achievement of team goals and objectives, sometimes in a lead role for a phase of a project. Perform responsibilities as directed within determined time frames and with a high degree of accuracy. Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department and the company. Maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary to effectively complete responsibilities; enhance job knowledge and abilities by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training. Maintain sensitive and confidential information regarding company information. Attend work on a regular basis and support the company's employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules. Ensure all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understand and comply with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, or related field or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.) Eight or more years' experience related to utility and/or business operations or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred. Advanced leadership skills to direct the activities of individuals and/or teams toward the accomplishment of goals. Effective analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills to compile and analyze data and to recommend appropriate course of action. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows operating environment, relational database environments and specialized analysis, design and testing tools. Planning skills to develop plans and forecasts and to manage and coordinate projects. Effective oral and written communication skills to effectively present information and persuade opinion. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation.
