Maintenance Supervisor at Custom Processing Services LLC – East Greenville, Pennsylvania
About This Position
The Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership with a hands on approach to the maintenance team, engage in troubleshooting and assist with repairs. Strive to ensure safety, quality and maximum production efficiencies in order to meet and support the facility’s overall OEE. (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Requirements:Accountable Functions and Responsibilities:
• Oversees, plans and issues work orders to appropriate shift team members for the repairs of equipment as well as PM program.
• Coordinates repairs and maintenance activities with production team as necessary.
• Remains active on the floor providing hands on trouble shooting and maintenance of production equipment.
• Follow all plant rules, monitor attendance and provide correction action as necessary.
• Conduct safety inspections of work areas, examine tools/equipment, identify and correct unsafe conditions or violations of safety procedures.
• Prepares purchase requisitions in order to request parts for repairs as well as critical spare parts as needed.
• May interface with vendors and suppliers as necessary to be used in repair work or in projects.
• Participates in Lean Manufacturing practices such as Six Sigma, 5S, ETC.
• Review locations KPI’s Daily, weekly, and monthly to make recommendations for improving plant operations, OEE, and maintenance problem resolution.
• Plans and coordinates repairs with the Maintenance Manager as well as the Plant Manager.
• Attend daily Tier 2 meeting.
• Serves as the backup to the Maintenance Manager when they are not available.
• Primary location East Greenville, Secondary location Reading Campus.
• Direct report to the Maintenance Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• 8 plus years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Be knowledgeable in PLC’s, VFD’s. Electricity through 480VAC.
• Be able to weld carbon and stainless. (Stick, Mig, Tig).
• At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising in a manufacturing facility.
• Previous experience in working in a Lean environment.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Exceptional written/verbal communication skills and ability to be a team player.
• Excellent analytical thinking and innovative problem solving skills.
• Have the ability to multitask, prioritize in a fast paced environment.
• Have experience in using a CMMS system, word, and outlook. Etc.
• Must provide own basic tools. All specialty tools will be provided.
Location:
• East Greenville Campus (secondary location) – 75% of time
• Reading Campus (primary work location) – 25% of time
Work Environment (estimated averages):
• Office 10%
• Floor 90%
Physical Requirements:
• Able to be on your feet for 10-12 hrs.
• Use of hands and fingers to perform job.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and climb.
• Availability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
