Construction Manager at HI-TECH ENGINEERING PARTNERS LLC – West Lafayette, Indiana

This position is responsible for the successful execution of a large-scale semiconductor FAB construction project in Indiana. The Construction Manager will oversee the entire construction lifecycle—from design coordination through construction, commissioning, and handover—ensuring strict compliance with schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements in accordance with global semiconductor industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all construction activities for the semiconductor FAB project, including civil, architectural, structural, MEP, utilities, and cleanroom systems
• Coordinate and manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, designers, equipment vendors, and owner representatives
• Control and monitor project schedule, budget, quality, and safety, identifying and mitigating construction risks
• Ensure compliance with semiconductor-specific construction standards and international codes (e.g., SEMI, ISO, NFPA)
• Establish and enforce site HSE policies with a strong commitment to zero-accident performance
• Manage change orders, technical issues, and construction claims
• Prepare and present regular progress, cost, and risk reports to senior management
• Support commissioning, start-up, and transition to early production phases

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related disciplines
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in large-scale industrial or complex construction projects
• Proven experience in at least one of the following:
  • Semiconductor FAB construction projects
  • Similar high-tech or high-cleanliness facilities such as display, battery, pharmaceutical, or data center projects
• Demonstrated leadership in site management and multi-contractor coordination
• Proficiency with project scheduling and construction management tools
• Ability to communicate and report effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects in the United States or other international locations
• Strong understanding of FAB-related systems such as cleanrooms, ultra-pure water, specialty gases, chemicals, and HVAC
• Professional certifications (PMP, PE, CM, or equivalent)
• Experience working from an Owner, CM, or PMC perspective
• Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural and multinational environments
