Overview:
The Change Infrastructure Management Technical Lead provides infrastructure requirements for all U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of Information Technology (OIT) environments and details for the installation of hardware in the field and in data centers.
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the Engineering, Network, and Development teams to establish detailed and documented information required for systems and application integration into the production environment and for the acceptance for ongoing O&M.
· Support the oversight, technical guidance, monitor activities, coordinate work between various teams, and manage all Hosting work.
· Keep the O&M Kanban board or current tool updated to optimize the flow of all work performed.
· Provide bi-weekly Infrastructure health checks.
Qualifications:
Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a similar Information Technology Field.
· Knowledge of the ITIL framework required
· ITIL certification strongly preferred
· Program/Project management experience
· 5+ years’ experience leading teams and projects for developing, maintaining, and administering complex IT systems; capturing stakeholder requirements and translating them into automated solutions; and managing the full application lifecycle
· Experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices strongly preferred
· Ability to communicate orally and in writing, including detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts
· Strong skills in the use of Service Management tools, such as ServiceNow or Remedy
· Identify and champion organizational and process changes that support automated cloud provisioning; assist with the creation and maintenance of standard cloud computing policies, operating procedures, and overall documentation
· Experience with Patch automation implementation and process improvements required
· Experience building roadmaps, evaluating technologies
· Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
· Coordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists
· Work with release engineers to understand the impacts of branches and code merges
· Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and coordinate cross-functional work teams (including Infrastructure, Support, On- Call, Development, Quality Assurance, Subject Matter Experts (SME), architects, and business stakeholders) towards task completion
· Working knowledge of Jenkins, configuration management database (CMDB), code packaging, Jira, Salesforce, ELK, Git Hub, AWS, and basic Unix commands
