This is a high-impact leadership role at the crossroads of creativity, performance marketing, and game design. You will own the vision and execution of mobile video advertising campaigns designed to drive installs and optimize cost-per-install (CPI) performance. Beyond producing compelling content, you will architect data-informed creative strategies that convert viewers into loyal players. Working closely with user acquisition, marketing, and product teams, you will transform player psychology and gameplay moments into high-performing ad narratives. This role combines creative storytelling, analytical rigor, and production leadership in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Accountabilities:- Define and execute a comprehensive creative strategy for mobile video ads, including cinematic trailers, gameplay-driven edits, UGC formats, fail concepts, and rapid-test variations.
- Lead and mentor a team of video editors and creative contributors, ensuring consistent, high-volume asset production aligned with performance goals.
- Partner closely with User Acquisition teams to analyze hook rates, retention curves, CTR, and conversion metrics, using insights to iterate on winning concepts and discontinue underperforming creatives.
- Conduct ongoing market and competitive analysis across major ad platforms such as TikTok, Meta, and AppLovin to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging formats.
- Maintain brand consistency across all ad creatives while continuously pushing creative boundaries within short-form video constraints (1530 seconds).
- Integrate gameplay capture and in-engine assets effectively to ensure authenticity and engagement in performance-driven advertising.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in mobile gaming, performance marketing, or a specialized UA creative agency environment.
- Proven track record of delivering ad creatives that significantly improved installs, CPI, ROAS, or overall app store performance.
- Strong understanding of mobile ad psychology, particularly the importance of the first 3 seconds and crafting thumb-stopping hooks.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro); familiarity with Unity or Unreal Engine for gameplay capture is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working with performance data and marketing analytics tools; able to balance creative intuition with measurable insights.
- Leadership experience managing creative teams in high-output production environments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to experiment, iterate rapidly, and take calculated creative risks.
