Nurse Manager - Surgery Center in Cookeville, Tennessee at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

The Surgery Center Nurse Manager has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for the clinical, financial and personnel management of the department of Surgery Center on Whitney. He/she leads the department in a goal-directed manner, which is congruent with departmental and hospital goals and philosophies. The Surgery Center nurse manager will ensure that competent trained perioperative nurses assume the responsibility for the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of age specific nursing care provided to patients during their perioperative experience. Acting as a clinical resource will assure quality care as defined by clinical outcomes. The Surgery Center nurse manager will demonstrate effective problem solving and decision-making skills, communicate effectively, coordinate and monitor the patient care process on a regular basis.

Education: Associates or Bachelors of Nursing

Certification & Licensures: Registered Nurse License required

Experience Requirements: Minimum four(4) years OR experience in a multi-specialty operating room or comparable training program preferred, and two-three (2-3) years nursing management experience.
