The Residential Mortgage Lender is responsible for soliciting, negotiating, and originating residential mortgage and construction loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures. This role involves participating in the attainment of established Bank goals and objectives through sales management, officer call programs, developing deposit and loan relationships, generating business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations, and making referrals to appropriate business lines within the Bank.
Requirements:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Generating New Business:
· Develop new client relationships through Bank referrals, active outside calling campaigns, and community involvement.
· Participate in achieving annual deposit and loan growth goals.
· Follow through on all inquiries and refer across business lines as appropriate.
· Conduct periodic meetings and presentations on loan products internally and externally.
· Representing the Bank in various community functions and organizations.
Maintaining Lending Knowledge:
· Maintain awareness and adhere to the changing lending and compliance laws, regulations and standards.
· Stay current with changing guidelines for FHLMC, FHLB MPF, WHEDA, Fed VA, FHA, USDA, Portfolio, and other products as established as part of the Bank’s loan product suite.
· Attend and participate in loan department meetings.
Managing Portfolio:
· Meet with current and potential customers to negotiate loan terms and conditions.
· Manage customer relationships within the loan portfolio.
· Assist the credit department with monitoring the quality of the loan portfolio.
· Gather and analyze information to present financing requests to the Loan Committee or Underwriting for approval.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is located in an office environment with artificial lighting and controlled heating/air conditioning. The position includes prolonged periods of working on a computer and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The incumbent needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
