The Vice President of Commercial Sales will be responsible for driving the commercial sales strategy and leading the sales team to achieve revenue targets within the commercial sector. This individual will play a key role in expanding the company’s market share in the commercial space, developing long-term relationships with commercial clients, and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the executive team to align commercial sales goals with the overall business objectives.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy focused on the commercial market to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities in the commercial sector, including geographical expansion and new product lines.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the commercial sales team, including regional sales managers, account executives, and sales support staff.
• Provide ongoing training and development to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the commercial sales team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial clients, ensuring their needs are consistently met and exceeded.
• Act as a strategic partner to major commercial clients, offering insights and solutions that support their business objectives.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities specific to the commercial sector to inform sales strategies and tactics.
• Monitor industry developments and adjust the company’s commercial sales approach to maintain a competitive edge.
• Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team on commercial sales performance, market conditions, and growth opportunities.
• Work closely with the marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment and support for commercial sales initiatives.
• Collaborate with the finance department to develop accurate commercial sales forecasts and manage budgets.
• Contribute to overall company strategy and decision-making as a member of the executive leadership team.
• Oversee the development and management of the commercial sales department budget.
• Drive margin improvement initiatives and ensure that pricing strategies in the commercial sector are competitive and profitable.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably within the commercial sector of the building materials or roofing industry.
• Proven track record of driving commercial sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
• Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
• Ability to travel as needed.
