Job Description

A senior living community in North Fort Worth offering Assisted Living and Memory Care. We believe every resident has a story worth knowing, and our team is built on the idea that the right people in the right seats change lives. We are growing, and we are looking for an Activities Assistant who brings warmth, energy, and creativity to every room they walk into.

The Role
As our Activities Assistant, you will work alongside our Director of Engagement to bring our programming calendar to life for residents in both Assisted Living and our Trio Memory Care Neighborhood. This is a hands-on role. You will lead group programs, sit one-to-one with residents who prefer quieter moments, ride along on outings, and be one of the friendly faces residents look forward to seeing each day.

The right person for this role loves older adults, has a naturally curious spirit, and understands that activities are not about filling the calendar. They are about building trust, preserving dignity, and creating the small moments that make a community feel like home.

What You Will Do:
Plan, organize, and lead daily activities including arts and crafts, games, music, fitness, reminiscence programming, cognitive stimulation, and outings
Provide one-to-one engagement for residents who prefer smaller settings or are living with dementia or cognitive impairment
Set up, facilitate, and clean up programs and special events
Escort residents safely to and from activities, events, and common areas
Encourage residents to participate in programming while always honoring their choice
Document resident participation and responses at the end of each shift
Accompany residents on outings and appointments, including assistance with boarding and securing mobility devices
Safely operate the community bus or designated vehicle when assigned
Perform vehicle safety checks and report maintenance concerns
Support tours, family events, resident council gatherings, and holiday programming
Assist with emergency response and evacuation when needed
Report any changes in resident condition or wellbeing to the Director of Health and Wellness promptly

What We Are Looking For:
A warm, engaging personality and a genuine heart for older adults
Creativity and willingness to try new ideas
Dependability and the ability to manage time across multiple activities in a single shift
Comfort providing hands-on escort and light physical support to residents
Basic proficiency with calendar tools, email, and digital platforms
Understanding of dementia and memory care best practices, or willingness to learn
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Bus driving experience is a plus. Candidates without bus experience who are willing to complete training and certification will also be considered
CPR and First Aid certification preferred; willingness to obtain within the first 90 days

Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and reaching
Able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
Able to push occupied wheelchairs and assist with resident mobility
Prolonged standing and walking
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
