Job Description

Director, AutoStore as a Service

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, AutoStore as a Service in the United States.

This is a high-impact global commercial leadership role focused on building and scaling a new Automation-as-a-Service offering designed for third-party logistics (3PL) providers and early adopters of warehouse automation. You will shape how subscription-based automation is brought to market, replacing traditional capital-heavy models with flexible, OpEx-driven solutions. Acting at the intersection of strategy, sales, and product commercialization, you will design go-to-market frameworks, pricing logic, and sales playbooks that directly influence pipeline creation and revenue growth. This role requires close collaboration across strategy, finance, product, legal, and partner ecosystems to ensure successful market adoption. You will be responsible for translating complex automation capabilities into compelling commercial value for global 3PL customers. It is a highly entrepreneurial, cross-functional position where execution speed and strategic thinking are equally critical.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the development and end-to-end execution of the Automation-as-a-Service commercial program, including GTM strategy, sales playbooks, pricing frameworks, and operational rollout
  • Drive adoption of the offering within 3PL ecosystems by positioning it as a flexible, scalable OpEx-based automation solution
  • Collaborate with 3PL customers and integration partners to refine value propositions, improve service delivery, and strengthen retention and expansion opportunities
  • Own pipeline development and conversion for As-a-Service opportunities, overseeing deal progression, solution design, and commercial closure
  • Partner with regional sales teams and channel organizations to ensure effective offer deployment and alignment across global markets
  • Build and scale partner enablement models, allowing integrators to package subscription-based automation solutions with complementary services
  • Establish performance tracking systems, including pipeline health, forecasting, and revenue visibility in collaboration with sales operations
  • Continuously refine the offer based on market feedback, competitive dynamics, and evolving 3PL requirements
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in 3PL, logistics, or supply chain environments with strong understanding of fulfillment operations and transformation drivers
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sales, commercial leadership, or go-to-market roles within complex solution-based environments
  • Proven experience developing and executing scalable sales playbooks and structured GTM frameworks
  • Strong background in As-a-Service, subscription-based models, or financing solutions (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of 3PL procurement processes, customer economics, and warehouse automation trends
  • Ability to translate technical and operational capabilities into clear, compelling commercial narratives and business cases
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with experience working across global executive, product, finance, and partner teams
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use market data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to drive strategy
Benefits:
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contributions
  • Generous paid time off including holidays, parental leave, volunteer time, and wellness time
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match and discretionary profit-sharing contributions
  • Educational assistance, mentorship programs, and leadership development opportunities
  • Life, disability, and employee assistance programs
  • Remote-friendly and flexible working environment supporting work-life balance
