POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Operator I is responsible for the receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials; maintaining accurate inventory records; and operating warehouse equipment and vehicles safely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against packing slipsPut away inventory in designated storage locations.Receive and ship product accurately based on work instructions.Prepare shipments, including labeling and documentation.Follow written procedures and maintain product and lot identification in accordance with company policies and good manufacturing practices.Perform basic inventory transactions in ERP system.Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.Reports any discrepancies or damages to management.Operates a forklift and pallet jack to move and store goods in identified areas.Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of product as needed.Operate company owned box truck or other vehicles to transport material between Delcath facilities and the Sterilizer.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.Follow all safety procedures and company policies.Contribute to and maintain a professional and respectful work environment.Performs other related duties as directed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Warehouse associate has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High school diploma or equivalent with additional relevant training desired.At least two years of work experience in a warehouse required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical journals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees and outside organizations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and create and/or interpret spreadsheets and graphs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; and is subject to repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
