Job Description

Founding Solutions Architect

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Founding Solutions Architect in United States.

This is a high-impact founding technical role at the center of enterprise growth, where you will define how complex customers integrate and adopt a rapidly scaling payments and benefits infrastructure platform. You will operate as the primary technical partner across the entire enterprise sales lifecycle, translating customer needs into viable architectures and guiding deals from initial discovery through integration and launch. This role blends deep technical credibility with customer-facing influence, requiring close collaboration with founders, sales leadership, and engineering teams. You will design and support sophisticated API-driven integrations for enterprise commerce and healthcare-adjacent use cases while ensuring security, compliance, and scalability. As the first dedicated Solutions Architect, you will also serve as the key feedback loop between customers and product, shaping roadmap priorities and identifying recurring technical patterns. Your work will directly influence revenue outcomes, product direction, and long-term go-to-market strategy. This is a builder role in a fast-moving early-stage environment where ownership and speed matter.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will own the technical sales motion for enterprise deals while ensuring successful integrations and serving as a critical bridge between customers, sales, and product teams.

  • Lead technical discovery and solution design across the full enterprise sales cycle, from first engagement through contract and go-live.
  • Design and present custom API-based integration architectures for complex enterprise checkout and commerce systems.
  • Develop and deliver live demos, proof-of-concepts, and technical walkthroughs to accelerate deal conversion.
  • Act as the primary technical advisor for enterprise stakeholders, including engineering, product, compliance, and security teams.
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable implementation approaches in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Build reusable technical assets such as reference architectures, integration guides, and ROI models to support GTM scalability.
  • Establish structured feedback loops to product and engineering based on customer needs, gaps, and competitive insights.
  • Support post-sale handoff to customer success and engineering to ensure smooth implementation and adoption.
  • Identify patterns across enterprise deals to inform product strategy and roadmap priorities.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a seasoned solutions architect or sales engineer with strong technical depth, enterprise deal experience, and the ability to operate in early-stage, high-ownership environments.

  • 7+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Engineering roles.
  • At least 3+ years of experience working with enterprise-level customers and complex sales cycles.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing API-driven integrations for enterprise systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate API documentation and system architecture clearly.
  • Background in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or healthtech is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with regulated systems such as HSA/FSA, benefits infrastructure, or payment compliance is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to support multi-stakeholder enterprise deals involving technical and non-technical executives.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and executive-ready materials.
  • Experience building feedback loops between customers and product/engineering teams.
  • Comfort working in early-stage, fast-moving environments with high ambiguity and ownership.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation with OTE between $160,000 and $260,000 (base + variable)
  • Meaningful founding-team equity package
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Unlimited PTO and flexible sick leave
  • Paid parental leave
  • Remote-first work environment with quarterly in-person meetups
  • Approximately 25% travel for customer on-sites and industry events
  • High autonomy and direct influence on product and company strategy
  • Opportunity to shape enterprise go-to-market motion from the ground up
  • Exposure to complex, high-value enterprise deals in a rapidly growing market
