This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Finance Manager (m/w/d) Group Controlling / FP&A in Germany.

In this strategic finance role, you will play a key part in building and scaling group-wide controlling and FP&A capabilities within a fast-growing, private equity-backed organization. You will transform financial data into actionable insights that directly support executive decision-making and business performance. Operating at group level, you will design and standardize reporting, KPI frameworks, and forecasting processes across multiple entities. This is a high-impact position where finance becomes a true business partner, enabling transparency, consistency, and performance-driven management. You will work closely with senior leadership, including the CFO, while contributing to a dynamic, transformation-focused environment. The role combines strategic thinking, hands-on financial analysis, and process development in a rapidly evolving multi-entity structure.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for building and enhancing group-level controlling and FP&A structures that enable effective business steering:

  • Develop and scale a standardized group-wide reporting and controlling framework across multiple subsidiaries
  • Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making
  • Analyze business performance across entities and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Build and improve budgeting, forecasting, and rolling forecast processes at group level
  • Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. plan) and develop scenario and sensitivity models
  • Drive standardization of reporting logic, processes, and data structures across the organization
  • Collaborate closely with local finance teams, Group Accounting, and senior management to ensure alignment
Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise with analytical depth and experience in complex, fast-moving environments:

  • Several years of experience in Group Controlling, FP&A, or Finance Transformation roles
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business insights
  • Proven experience in KPI frameworks, reporting systems, and performance management
  • Solid background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Experience working in multi-entity or multi-country structures is highly desirable
  • Exposure to PE/VC-backed or high-growth environments is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders effectively
  • Strong business acumen, structured thinking, and a proactive, hands-on approach
Benefits
  • 30 days of annual vacation
  • Hybrid working model with flexible home office arrangements
  • Opportunity to shape finance processes in a rapidly growing, PE-backed organization
  • High level of ownership and direct impact on group-wide financial strategy
  • Regular team events and collaborative working culture
  • Transparent communication through regular stand-ups and all-hands meetings
  • Occasional travel for workshops and on-site collaboration within Germany
