Clinic Certified Coder in Cookeville, Tennessee at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

This position is responsible for coding and abstracting of medical records for Professional Services, as well as working with Providers to clarify or improve areas which affect coding. May also complete special projects related to coding, documentation, and chart auditing.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required

Certifications: Certified Coding Specialist Required

Additional Certification Details

Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Based (CCS-P), other acceptable coding certification. Strong knowledge base of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and coding guidelines.
