Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary:
The Graduate Assistant Hourly (GAH) Student Assistant is a part-time position (15-8 hours each week) in The Ellis Center in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

The student assistant focuses on maintaining and advancing operations of the CLAS Peer Career Coaching Program, work on towards the strategic plan of the professional development team, and supporting general OUS office management (as needed), including staffing the Front Desk, answering the phone, greeting guests, responding to/and or directing phone and e-mail messages as appropriate.

The role is needed from May to August 2026.
Requirements:
  • Graduate student standing.
  • Must be genuinely interested in providing student career and professional development support to peers.
  • Must be genuinely interested in selecting, supporting, supervising, and training undergraduate student coaches.
  • Must be dedicated, dependable, reliable, willing to learn, flexible and adaptable, and attentive to detail.
  • Must be able to work equally well collaboratively and independently.
