Storeroom Attendant 2 at OMNIS PLEASANTS LLC – Belmont, West Virginia
About This Position
This individual performs physical tasks and routine clerical duties in connection with the operation of a storeroom which requires one to receive, identify, store, disburse, ship and account for a variety of material, equipment, and supplies within the power station; effectively assists higher rated employees in the performance of any duties which qualified; performs work of a lower classification; and performs other work as assigned.
· Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies to and from railroad cars, trucks, and trailers, in accordance with safe work practices.
· Transport materials about storeroom and storage areas by hand or using forklift trucks or other material handling equipment.
· Receive, identify, and check materials, tools equipment, and supplies delivered to storeroom; take inventory.
· Check materials, equipment and supplies received for over, short, damaged, or incorrect items. Report discrepancies for correction.
· Store materials, equipment, and supplies in proper storage bins or areas in accordance with established storeroom standards.
· Disburse material, tools, equipment, and supplies.
· Pack or unpack material, equipment, and supplies.
· Prepare material, equipment, and supplies for shipment and complete necessary shipping papers.
· Effectively act as lead on any stores jobs.
· Confer with responsible employees in connection with simple stock substitutions, requisition changes, shipments, etc.
· Contact local representatives of private and common carriers to report and arrange for the inspection and verification of concealed damages to items delivered.
· Perform minor maintenance and repair work on stores material-handling equipment and trucks.
· Service automotive equipment such as adding fuel, oil, water and antifreeze; check tires and batteries, etc.
· Operate passenger cars and light trucks safely.
· Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
· Operate forklift trucks, winches, cranes and other equipment in accordance with instructions.
· Check and correct discrepancies on purchase orders, shipping papers, and storeroom orders and manifests.
· Prepare complete and accurate records and reports.
· Perform activities as defined in the Roles & Responsibilities matric for the Materials Management Process.
Requirements:Must meet the Company’s requirements as to General Qualifications in accordance with the Job Manual including:
· High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of relevant experience.
· Sufficient experience to meet job knowledge and skill requirements as determined by company interviews.
· Ability to work safely and follow safety rules and regulations.
· Ability to perform fairly heavy physical work indoors or outdoors in all seasons.
· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
· Mechanical aptitude to operate material-handling equipment and trucks used in stores work.
· Ability to advance within this job to higher classifications.
· Vision correct to 20-30 and pass color vision and hearing tests.
· Ability to learn and perform the duties involved in stores work.
· Ability to prepare legible and accurate records and reports.
· Meet Company standards in regard to physical fitness, personal conduct and appearance, attendance, work performance, safety practices and supervision.
· Possess a motor vehicle operator’s license with ability to safely operator motor vehicles. Demonstrated knowledge of the State Motor Vehicle Code as it applies to the operation of trucks on public highways.
· A genuine interest in learning the requirements of this classification as demonstrated through individual and cooperative efforts.
· Ability to use all the tools and equipment related to this classification.
· Ability to work overtime and callouts as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Full-Time Hourly (Non-Exempt) position starting at $36.88/hr. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
