We are currently looking for a Lead Product Designer in Kenya.In this role, you will lead the design of impactful, user-centric experiences across multiple platforms, guiding a team of designers while collaborating closely with Product Managers and Developers. You will own the full design cycle from ideation to post-launch feedback, ensuring that product solutions are both elegant and aligned with business objectives. The position offers the opportunity to mentor and inspire a design team, influence product strategy, and work on high-impact projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will help shape the product vision and contribute to the creation of a holistic, seamless experience for all users.Accountabilities:

• Analyze customer and business problems to identify pain points and opportunities
• Lead the design process from ideation to final delivery and post-launch feedback
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Developers to align designs with business goals
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers through design reviews and one-on-one sessions
• Ensure consistency and quality across multiple platforms, including employee, employer, and admin portals
• Define and maintain design systems, standards, and best practices
• Drive the vision and strategy for product design, ensuring alignment with overall product objectives

Requirements:

• 57 years of experience as a product designer in fast-paced environments, ideally in scale-ups or startups
• 2+ years of experience as a lead product designer, managing and mentoring teams
• Strong expertise in both UX and UI design, with a portfolio demonstrating impact and quality
• Experience with design systems and collaboration with development teams
• Ability to work autonomously while empowering team members
• Skilled at balancing deep-dive analysis with efficient execution
• Comfortable managing the full product development cycle from concept to design QA
• Passionate about design, continuous learning, and user-centered solutions
