For more than 40 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries.

We are searching for a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to work in our residential program in Richmond, VA.

• This role provides treatment and evaluations of residents with speech, language, cognitive, linguistic and swallowing disorders as a result of acquired brain injury
• This position also focuses on developing strategies for clients in areas of memory, language expression, speech production, pragmatics, comprehension, problem solving, conflict resolution and swallowing disorders
• Performs evaluation consisting of patient/client history, and appropriate tests and measures
• Evaluation of prognosis and implementation of plan of care to provide interventions, conduct re-evaluation, modify interventions based on outcomes and development and implement discharge plan
  

Education & Requirements:

• Completion of a master’s degree in speech-language pathology and one-year experience completed with CCC from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and state licensure is required.
• Experience in treatment of neurologically related physical disorders in community-based settings is strongly preferred
• Competence in writing, planning, organization and documentation, as well as time management skills are required
• Must have a valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained
• Ability to lift 50lbs
