Senior Sourcing Specialist at Sterling Construction Company, Inc. – Draper, Utah

Sterling Infrastructure is looking for a SR Sourcing Specialist in Draper, Utah to support our Heavy Civil Construction sector.

This is not merely a traditional sourcing role. Sterling Infrastructure is looking for an experienced Sourcer who brings creativity, market insight, and proactive sourcing strategies and a proven record of attracting senior-level talent.

This role sits within the Talent Acquisition team and partners closely with Executive Leadership, Business Unit leaders, and hiring managers to shape how and where we find experienced professionals including Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents, and other key technical and leadership roles.

Success in this role comes from thinking ahead, challenging traditional approaches, and building talent pipelines before the need exists. This is a role for someone who wants influence—not just execution.

What You’ll Do

1. Build proactive, long-term pipelines for senior and hard-to-fill heavy civil roles
2. Engage passive candidates through creative and data-driven sourcing strategies
3. Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, ZoomInfo, and ATS/CRM platforms to identify top talent
4. Provide market insight and recommendations that influence recruiting strategy
5. Continuously improve sourcing approaches to stay competitive in the construction talent market

What We’re Looking For

1. 5+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience in heavy civil construction or a related industry
2. Proven success sourcing senior-level or leadership construction roles
3. Strong understanding of construction labor markets and candidate motivations
4. Comfortable working with autonomy, ownership, and strategic influence
5. Motivated by impact, quality, and continuous improvement
