About This Position

Position Overview:

The Senior Accounting Specialist is primary responsible for cash applications, contract maintenance, lease and loan bookings, customer invoicing and related account reconciliations. This position is responsible for all specialty invoicing including progress payments and weekly program billing. This position monitors and assigns emails received in the accounting mailbox and processes Salesforce cases as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Booking loan and lease deals in Company’s lease management systems.
  • Responsible for daily lockbox applications, remote deposits, as well as serving as backup for daily ACH payment processing, portfolio, and general cash applications, while ensuring that amounts posted reconcile to the bank statement. Research and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Return payment processing, including invoicing applicable returned payment fees to the customer.
  • Process contract rewrites, terminations and other contract maintenance as required.
  • Review unapplied cash report applying cash as identified and noting any items still be researched.
  • Upload specialty billing, including progress payment interest and subsidy invoices. Set up associated ACH bank information and address any related requests. Prepares program weekly billing.
  • Monitor, categorize and assign internal customer service requests in Salesforce and the Accounting team mailbox based on request type. Process miscellaneous requests as assigned.
  • QA/QC review – Monitor periodic reports to maintain integrity of data in Company’s lease management system to determine that all contracts paid in full have been properly terminated.
  • Assists with audits and special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Provide daily support (including cross training) for the accounting team in various US locations, as needed.

  • Focus on accuracy and consistency. Once notified of an error/correction needed-ensuring the same error doesn’t continue multiple times.
  • Daily Cash book (including checklist) should be complete and accurate.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Lease Plus and/or Info-Lease cash applications and related functionality

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree with at least 5 years’ experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the banking or leasing industry, preferable
  • Knowledge of banking or leasing

Working Hours:

  • Hours may vary and will require evening work and weekends depending on business needs and will require working overtime.

Tools and Equipment Used:

  • Personal computer, copier, fax, phone, and other typical office equipment

Travel:

  • Occasional travel related to attendance at industry seminars

Physical Demands:

  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
  • Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
  • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person
  • Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another

The position is non-exempt and the salary will be between $58,750.00 and $74,315.00 with an opportunity to earn a discretionary annual bonus.

The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
