Job Summary**Based in Honolulu, HI** The Maintenance Tech 3 is responsible for inspections, tests, maintenance, and service of aircraft using test equipment and hand tools, as needed, to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications and leading small projects. Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs routine maintenance and inspections on general aviation aircraft
- Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of work
- Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor
- Leads small projects
- Makes technical decisions regarding discrepancies and job flow
- Utilizes outside resources as authorized
- Continually keeps clean and organized work area including personal tool box
- Utilizes support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish work tasks
- Performs other duties as directed
- Minimum two years experience working with general aviation airframes
- Two years Pilatus PC12, or Cessna 408, experience desirable
- Advanced troubleshooting abilities
- Broad knowledge of aircraft systems
- Leadership, Quality, or sheet metal experience desirable.
- Airframe and Powerplant Certification required
Other Prerequisites
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
- Valid Drivers License
- Maintain personal tool box containing standard hand tools
- Read, write and comprehend the English language
- Ability to travel to the mainland as required for training
- Ability to travel to other islands as required for AOG recovery
- Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to wear a respirator or air hood, and work in a confined environment.
