Registered Nurse Job, Days 5:30a-4p with evening fill (3-11:30p); every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays, IV Therapy Team

Powers Health is hiring an RN for the IV Team to work days at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The IV Therapy Team is a team of specially trained nurses that visit patients throughout Community Hospital to provide various IV assistance.

Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates.
• Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of PH by providing the highest quality care.
• Provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• BSN preferred.
• Obtains and maintains current certification (ACLS) as required in specialty areas (Critical Care).
• Obtains and maintains current CPR.
• IV experience preferred.
