Role Summary

The Program Manager will oversee a portfolio of complex, interrelated technology initiatives focused on modernizing a mission-critical integration platform, improving resiliency and security, and enabling a scalable, container-based architecture for future growth. This role acts as the single point of coordination across multiple project teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment, momentum, and delivery across concurrent efforts.

The ideal candidate brings strong program governance skills, experience managing infrastructure and platform modernization initiatives, and the ability to navigate complex enterprise environments with multiple dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Governance

  • Own end-to-end delivery of a multi-workstream program consisting of design, proof-of-concept, upgrades, migrations, and future-state deployments
  • Establish and maintain program governance, reporting cadence, milestones, and success metrics
  • Manage dependencies and sequencing across parallel initiatives to ensure alignment with the broader roadmap
  • Serve as the escalation point for risks, issues, and blockers impacting program delivery

Stakeholder & Executive Coordination

  • Act as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor teams
  • Coordinate with individual project managers and technical leads to ensure consistent communication and execution
  • Drive alignment between strategic objectives and day-to-day execution across all initiatives
  • Prepare and present program-level status updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership

Planning & Execution Oversight

  • Oversee initiatives including (at a high level):
    • Architecture design and planning efforts
    • Non-production proofs of concept
    • Security enhancements and authentication services
    • Platform upgrades and migrations
    • Specialized single-instance deployments
    • Preparation for large-scale future container deployments and consolidation
  • Ensure scope, timeline, and budget adherence while allowing flexibility for evolving requirements
  • Coordinate execution across onshore/offshore teams and third-party partners

Risk, Dependency & Access Management

  • Proactively identify and manage cross-team dependencies that impact delivery
  • Drive resolution of access, environment readiness, and onboarding challenges that slow progress
  • Partner with technical owners to clearly define prerequisites and unblock teams
  • Escalate systemic issues to leadership with clear recommendations and options

Roadmap & Future-State Enablement

  • Ensure near-term work feeds cleanly into longer-term platform modernization and consolidation goals
  • Maintain a forward-looking view of upcoming initiatives to support planning and resource alignment
  • Help translate architectural direction into executable program phases

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Program or Senior Project Management within large enterprise environments
  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent technology initiatives with shared dependencies
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, integration platforms, and application modernization concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with architects, engineers, security teams, and executives
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience operating in environments with complex access, security, and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with platform modernization, containerization, or large-scale infrastructure transformation programs
  • Background in integration, middleware, or managed file transfer platforms
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, non-production environments, and enterprise deployment models
  • Experience coordinating across multiple vendors and delivery partners

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Clear ownership and visibility across all initiatives in the program
  • Improved execution velocity through tighter coordination and dependency management
  • Reduced delivery risk through proactive issue identification and escalation
  • Consistent, executive-ready communication and decision support
  • A well-governed program that enables both near-term delivery and long-term platform transformation
