Advertised Salary:
Starting Range: $60,143-$89,463
Actual starting salary depends on education, credentials and experience.


Job Description:

If you are looking for clinical work that is challenging, rewarding and truly makes a difference, CIBH’s Forensics Team is seeking a skilled Clinician III who will combine advanced clinical skills, collaboration and advocacy to help justice involved individuals access treatment, build stability and reduce barriers to recovery!

The selected candidate will supervise CIBH Forensics staff on a team with representation from the Courts, Probation Office, Police Department, Public Defender’s office, Sheriff’s Office and Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.

Typical Tasks include:

  • Supervise staff including selecting or recommending selection in hiring process, training, assigning and evaluating work, counseling, disciplining and recommending termination in the forensic department.
  • Perform clinical assessments, risk evaluation, restoration to competency coordination, jail diversion support, discharge planning and cross-system collaboration to promote treatment engagement and recovery
  • Develops and implements goals for staff and ensure they follow the Key Performance Indicators
  • Maintains record system for area of responsibility; process daily paperwork including personnel information, and/or reports, charts and insurance forms.
  • Gathers and maintains information to support periodic and special reports documenting service recipients’ progress and activities for external and internal agencies, such as but not limited to the Courts, hospitals and community corrections.
  • Attends or conducts staff meetings to exchange information; attends professional seminars or conferences to improve professional skills, provide staff development.
  • Stays abreast of new developments relation to area of responsibility. Maintains records in accordance with program policies and procedures., state and federal regulations and standards.
  • Authorizes services in accordance with payer regulations.
  • Reads, comprehends and adheres to the Corporate Compliance and HIPPA policies and procedures. Reports any violations, inconsistencies or discrepancies with regard to the Corporate Compliance policies and procedures or the HIPPA policies and procedures to the Program supervisor or appropriate authority.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a closely related field or another degree as approved by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standard, this class requires a minimum of three years of related, full-time equivalent experience.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
  • Requires Qualified Mental Health Professional.
  • Requires pre-screening Certification within 6 weeks of hire.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with the City Driving Standards.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.

  • CSAC CERTIFICATION IS PREFERRED
