| Position Summary: | Are you interested in working for UDRI, a national leader in scientific and engineering research, serving government, industry and nonprofit customers? Our sustainment division invites qualified candidates to apply for our Quality Compliance Engineer opening supporting additive manufacturing and other cutting edge advanced manufacturing technologies! This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay. This position will support our Quality Management System (QMS) and monitor functions for compliance to both internal and external requirements, supporting corrective actions, process discipline, and quality metrics improvement. Additionally, the job will entail 1) supporting continued development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS for a low volume, high mix advanced manufacturing environment at UDRI and 2) development of process documentation for use by the USAF. Support of advanced manufacturing programs for sustainment activities is integral to this enterprise. |

| Minimum Qualifications: | R2 • A minimum of a bachelors degree and three years of directly related experience • Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining compliance in an ISO:9001 accredited environment • Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a non-conformance/non-compliance system • Minimum 3 years’ experience performing the quality audits within an Aerospace special processes. • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing an ISO:9001 document control process. • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing an ISO:9001 risk management process. • Expert level in Microsoft Office applications • Experience as a quality auditor within the Additive Manufacturing industry. • Able to interface with all function groups to ensure compliance to the ISO:9001 Standard. • Expertise in process mapping and development. • Experience reading and interpreting 3D models, technical drawings, and computer-generated reports. • Internal lead auditor qualified • Certified Kaizen Leader • Expertise in managing a corrective action process. • Experience representing organization during external audits • Expert level root cause analysis • Expert level maintaining a continuous improvement process • Experience developing and leading system level training • Demonstrated competency with AS9100 standard • Minimum 3 years’ experience in gap analysis to the ISO:9001 standard and incorporating improvements to support compliance • Experience in Program management • Attention to detail • Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen R3 (includes all above requirements as well as the following) • A minimum of a bachelors degree and eight years of directly related experience • Minimum 5 years’ experience maintaining compliance in an ISO:9001 accredited environment • Minimum 5 years’ experience operating a non-conformance/non-compliance system • Minimum 5 years’ experience performing the quality audits within an Aerospace special processes • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing an ISO:9001 document control process • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing an ISO:9001 risk management process • Minimum 5 years’ experience in gap analysis to the ISO:9001 standard and incorporating improvements to support compliance |
| Preferred Qualifications: | While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following: • Associates degree in mechanical engineering technology or quality control technology. |
