About This Position

Description:

If you could have your “dream PT job” – what would it look like?

At United Physical Therapy in Alaska, we’re flipping the script on hiring. Instead of posting a standard job listing and asking you to fit our mold…

You design the role. You make the offer. You tell us what would make you truly excited to join our team.

This is your opportunity to blueprint your ideal position—and we’ll explore how much of it we can realistically build together within our multi-clinic, therapist-owned practice.

Here’s how it works

Email your custom “dream job blueprint” to alec@unitedpt.com.

Be detailed and unapologetic—include anything that would make this your perfect fit:

  • Four-day workweeks
  • Weekend or no weekend preferences
  • Early or late schedule options
  • Possibility for part-time or seasonal flexibility

Clinical Interests & Specialty Focus

  • Orthopedics

  • Pelvic health
  • Neuro
  • Pediatrics

  • Telehealth integration (where clinically appropriate)
  • Cash-pay or wellness programming

Compensation Structure

  • Competitive salary
  • Productivity or performance-based incentives
  • Bonus opportunities

Benefits & Perks

  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) options
  • Generous continuing education budget for courses and conferences
  • Student loan assistance possibilities
  • Gym or wellness stipends

Work Environment & Culture

  • Autonomy in clinical decision making
  • Collaborative team of specialized clinicians
  • Supportive leadership without corporate micromanagement
  • Team events, retreats, and community engagement
  • Focus on meaningful patient outcomes

Location Preferences

  • One of our five Anchorage-area clinics: Downtown, Midtown, South, Ascension, or West
  • Potential time at the YMCA location
  • Alaska relocation support may be available for the right candidate

Anything else
Leadership opportunities, non-clinical time for research or teaching, professional growth pathways, or work-life integration that supports the life you want to build.

Go bold. Get specific. This isn’t a form letter—it’s you pitching the role you’ve always wanted to a local, therapist-founded group that has been putting patients and clinicians first since 1997.

Why this approach?

Talented PTs deserve more than just “a job.”

You deserve a role that aligns with your strengths, passions, and priorities. When the fit is right, everyone benefits—our clinicians, our patients, and the communities we serve.

We’ll review every blueprint thoughtfully. If something isn’t feasible right now, we’ll be honest—but we’ve been flexible for the right people before and we’re always open to creative solutions.
