The Position
The following is a summary of duties:
Provide Teller services and deposit account services of moderate to high complexity to members.
Process monetary (Teller) transactions.
Enroll new members.
Open and service deposit accounts.
Provide technical assistance with electronic banking systems.
Proactively engage with members to identify their needs and assist them in achieving their financial goals.
Work Schedule & Branch
This job is open at our Perry Hall branch located in Baltimore, Maryland.
This is not a hybrid or remote position; on-site attendance is required.
This is a Full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 5:15 pm. Fridays are
8:15 am to 5:15 pm or 9:15 am to 6:15 pm.
About 1 2 Saturdays per month are also required from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Duties are performed in a professional office environment. Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, working from a different branch, working before and/or after business hours, working on Saturdays and working hours exceeding the standard work schedule.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Education: This position requires a diploma from a public or accredited private high school. A high school equivalency diploma (GED) may be substituted for the required education.
Minimum Required Experience: Cash handling experience in financial services, retail sales, or a similar environment is preferred. Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a financial institution, is preferred.
Other Requirements:
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Proficient use of personal computers, internet applications, web browsers, e-mail, and various Windows-based software applications including word processing.
Ability to operate standard office equipment.
Intermediate knowledge of electronic banking products (such as online and mobile banking, bill pay, and payment systems), deposit accounts, transaction accounts, and related services.
Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues over the phone, in person and via email.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive member and Credit Union information.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others; demonstrate courtesy, empathy, and politeness.
Ability to meet member needs, build productive member relationships, and take responsibility for member satisfaction.
Ability to work cooperatively with others to achieve common goals.
Ability to plan and organize work and effectively manage time in order to accomplish goals.
Ability to make objective decisions and follow systematic procedures to solve problems.
A credit check and criminal background check are required.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is a minimum of $22.40, a midpoint of $27.90, and a maximum of $33.50 per hour. The final compensation offer is determined by an applicants relevant experience, qualifications, and our commitment to internal equity. While there are always exceptions, applicants are typically offered a rate in the lower part of this range, below the midpoint. We review compensation data on a regular basis to ensure market competitiveness and equity; accordingly, the hiring range for this position has been carefully crafted to align with the market.
