About This Position
Position Mission:
This position is primarily responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences. The Shift Leader is
also responsible for employee supervision in conjunction with, or in the absence of a General
Manager/Assistant Manager by creating a fun work environment. And motivating the team to deliver
exceptional guest service and food quality while maintaining safety.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
• Leads by example to treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always
strives to deliver an exceptional experience to every guest
• Supervises, coaches, directs, and provides feedback to employees throughout shifts. Providing
training and counseling when necessary
• Responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality food and standards of execution of the menu
including maintaining adequate product levels during each shift, day, and week
• Addresses guest concerns regarding their food or service and takes appropriate corrective
action to ensure their complete satisfaction
• Ensuring the bakery is clean from including but not limited to the kitchen, service line, dining
area, restrooms, patios and sidewalks/parking lot
• Performs all roles and duties of a Team Member as needed including working as a
Greeter/Cashier, a Sandwich Maker, a Prep Person, the Barista or Drive-Thru Station, Baker and
managing/orchestrating catering orders
• Conduct a variety of administrative duties that maximize the efficiency, productivity, and
organization of the restaurant and team
• Conducts daily audits of all necessary safe funds, line checks and wellness checks as required
by Company policy
• Assemble and make bank deposits at the end of each shift and execute catering deliveries as
needed
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be dedicated to delivering high quality guest service by being reliable, timely, and
communicative to the business
• Must be able to read, count and accurately complete documentation in English
• Must be able to read and understand menu boards and order prompters/monitors
• Being a brand ambassador by providing and wearing non-slip shoes in conjunction with the
uniform policy and upholding uniform policy requirements
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours and
weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of
leadership training
• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required
at specific locations) and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy
Physical Requirements:
Frequently walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. These
physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations. While
performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The
employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by
this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust
focus. Ability to process vague, abstract verbal and written instructions. Ability to work under stress,
interruptions, and tight deadlines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, little
exposure to chemicals and potential exposure to smoke. This position is not substantially exposed to
adverse environmental conditions.
