Service Writer at Chinook Equipment – Nisku, Alberta

Are you experienced with service writing or warranty processing, and consider yourself a “pro” at juggling shop priorities and customers?

Chinook Equipment in NISKU is looking for an experienced Service Writer to join our team. They will work closely with the Service and Parts Team in our Branch and will be responsible for work order creation, warranty documentation, appointment booking and maintaining long-term customer relationships.

What You'll Do:

• Schedule and book service work appointments both in the shop and in the field to provide timely service for customers
• Provide quotes for customers on jobs
• Monitor monthly work orders and close for month end tasks
• Assist Parts department with counter sales and responsibility’s
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty and generate referrals
• Maintain effective communication within the department and with other leaders in the Branch; working together to identify opportunities and resolve issues
• Ensure correct parts are picked and staged for upcoming work orders.
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Service Writer/Advisor or Warranty Administrator in the heavy equipment or automotive industry
• Strong organization and communication skills to convey information accurately and professionally with customers, technicians and management
• Possess a good general understanding of mechanical systems and repair terminology
• Parts experience is considered an asset
• A team player committed to working with all stakeholders
• Proficient with computer programs with ability to adapt to constant changes
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a criminal record check
