About This Position

At MLT, we create solutions by empowering our people to fulfill their passion for service. In support of Product Manager Engineer Systems, we are seeking an Equipment Specialist with experience in supporting DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/principles/organizational protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and develop specialized equipment-specific and supply chain information for Product Manager Engineer Systems (PdM ES).
  • Support activities to develop and submit Technical Instructions, Provisioning Technical Data (PTD) utilizing the GEIA STD-0007C format and Technical Data Management-Catalyst.
  • Support activities include participating in Provisioning Conferences, assessing installation procedures and provisioning publication projects, identifying observations to formulate a better understanding of the technical requirements and identification of tasks needed to implement corrective actions; Document Supply Chain Management Requests and Track Exchange of equipment, and Warranty Support procedures.
  • Active participation in Systems Engineering Events and Engineer Change Proposal (ECP) reviews to ensure logistics equipment specialist concerns are considered, addressed and captured in providing updates to the applicable program products, such as Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), risk development, logistics documents and engineering reviews.
  • Develop and continuously maintain itemized inventory and shipment databases for PdM ES Programs, preferred by Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) to track inventory and shipments of Government Furnished Property including spare parts to and from the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) and to and from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) facilities for repair and calibration services.
  • Develop and maintain a database by equipment serial number for PdM ES Programs to track all GCSS-MC Service Requests (SR) and fielded equipment covered by OEM warranty and/or requiring scheduled calibration services.

Education / Experience:

High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelors is preferred with four (4) years of progressive experience in program analytics in a defense acquisitions program office or similar organization.

Experience with Marine Corps equipment and processes is preferred.

Specific / Preferred Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
  • This position is not eligible for remote work or 100% telework.
  • Will provide support to the Program Office Lead and Equipment Specialists at Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, Georgia.
  • Shall maintain access and perform duties utilizing Marine Corps automated information systems, such as Technical Data Management Catalyst/Publication System, GCSS-MC, Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS), Data & Analytics Reporting Tool (LDART), Federal Logistics Information System (WebLFIS) and Fed Mall.
  • Shall process forms such as Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) 339’s, Logistic Maintenance Data Coding (LMDC), Publication Change Request, Product Quality and Deficiency Reports, Joint Logistics Commander 17/19/43 forms, DLA-1685 Forms, and DLA Logistics Reassignments.
  • Shall support system repair part supply chain analysis, management, National Stock Number (NSN) attainment and NSN maintenance in the performance of equipment sustainment activates prior to and post equipment fielding.
  • Shall provide Subject Matter Expertise on assigned equipment such as equipment supportability assessments, Fleet Marine Force Support, Limited Technical Inspections and Stock List – 3 inventories.
  • Shall support the development and maintenance of Technical Publications, Modification Instructions, Supply Instructions, Technical Instructions, Lubrication Instructions, Stock List- 3 and 4s.
  • An understanding of Technical Data Management-Publications and the Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS) is necessary to support artifacts development, reviews, and updates.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and priority management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team on multidisciplinary projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, TEAMS).
