Job Title: CNC Press Brake Operator
Location: Ashland, VA
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Range: $24 – $28 per hour (based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join our team in Ashland, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general sheet metal work and CNC programming, along with the ability to read and interpret shop drawings and perform high-precision fabrication tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC press brake machines to bend sheet metal parts per specifications
  • Read and interpret detailed shop drawings and blueprints
  • Select and install appropriate punch and die sets
  • Calculate bend lines and apply bend allowances accurately
  • Work with a wide variety of materials and thicknesses
  • Use precision measuring instruments to inspect parts
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Recognize correct part orientation and bend order
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, managers, and customers
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
  • Take responsibility for work performed and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of general sheet metal experience
  • Strong CNC programming knowledge and hands-on experience
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Experience with punch and die selection and installation
  • Excellent understanding of bend allowances and part orientation
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and responsible work ethic
