Job Description:

GDIT is seeking an experienced Provider Network Representative IV to support the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program. This role serves as a crucial point of connection between the program and its diverse nationwide network of healthcare providers. Focusing on complex contracting for large and institutional group practices, the Provider Network Representative is responsible for leading provider re-affiliation efforts, driving contract discussions, and serving as the point person for communications with key provider stakeholders.

The World Trade Center Health Program is a limited federal health program administered by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Program provides no-cost medical monitoring and treatment for certified WTC-related health conditions to those directly affected by the 9/11 attacks in New York, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Lead and manage re-affiliation and contracting efforts with large, complex, high-volume, or institutional provider groups
  • Serve as the primary liaison for key provider organizations, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear, timely communication
  • Conduct contract discussions, including review of non-standard terms, escalations, and negotiation of mutually beneficial agreements
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including legal, compliance, operations, and Provider Relations Specialists, to ensure contract alignment and issue resolution
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations regarding provider network expansion, risk mitigation, and program compliance
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation for provider organizations transitioning into or re-engaging with the program
  • Track, document, and report progress on contracting initiatives, provider escalations, and critical milestones
  • Identify barriers affecting provider engagement and work proactively to resolve them operationally or contractually
  • Support long-term network stability by promoting program requirements, performance expectations, and service standards
  • Represent the Provider Network Operations team in high-level provider discussions and internal briefings

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Associates degree; 5+ years of experience in healthcare contracting, provider relations, network management, or a similar function
  • Demonstrated experience serving as the primary liaison for large or high-impact provider groups, ideally within a national or multi-site network
  • Proven negotiation and contract management skills, including experience with non-standard terms and complex contract structures
  • Strong understanding of healthcare provider operations, reimbursement processes, and contract language
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to manage sensitive provider issues with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience working within a federally regulated program or similar environment is a plus
